Dog Walkers I Cerddwyr Cŵn

A letter to our dog walkers

In recent years, the grounds and gardens have become popular with dog walkers and this is something we are keen to encourage. The new facilities such as the car park, the Montessori School, the Café and the Stable Yard hire rooms have created a new environment for visitors and this requires closer consideration of how dogs visit the site.

We would like to ask our dog walkers to assist us by keeping their dogs on lead in some areas of Insole Court and its gardens. We’d appreciate it if you could keep your dog on lead in areas to the north of the house (the Stable Yard, Car Park, main driveway and acer garden) This is for the safety of all visitors and dogs. We’re happy to keep areas to the south of the house as off lead areas.

All Cardiff Council provided bins (black metal) are suitable for dog waste disposal and we remind all dog walkers to use them. If you have forgotten to bring dog bags, we have a free supply at our Visitors Centre (open Monday – Saturday 10am-4pm)

Finally, dogs are still welcome on the terrace of the Potting Shed Café. We’ll be providing ‘tie up points’ outside both entrances very soon.

Thanks for your cooperation. We really appreciate your continued support of Insole Court.

Meg Anthony
