An Afternoon Book Reading with Rebecca Stack

Where: Library
When: Sunday 27th November, 2:15pm

This event is free, but booking is required.

With the help and support of his friends and their activities, Addy combats his anxiety. This is a story showing techniques to ease worries and the importance of not dealing with them alone.

Rebecca Stack wrote her books in October 2020 amidst lockdown as she could see how it was dampening children’s adventurous spirit, making them nervous to put themselves back out there. She wrote 'Gordon the Giraffe Dreams Big' to encourage them to follow their hearts and to not be afraid to be who they’re meant to be. She then wrote 'Addy the Anxious Aardvark' as a way to share the techniques she’s used over the years following her cancer diagnosis to overcome her worries of it returning. It’s a story showing how to deal with worry arising from change such as first day in nursery or school etc.

This free event is family friendly, with the perfect opportunity to meet the author, hear a reading, and purchase a book in time to send to Santa!
