Here at Insole Court, we pride ourselves in being a place for the community, and that includes what we sell in our gift shop. We have a wide range of local makers stocked in our shop, and this week we were fortunate enough to visit one, Vision21.
Located at facilities across Southeast Wales, V21 supports life-changing opportunities for people with learning disabilities to realise their potential through catering, growing, creating, learning, and making initiatives. Many of these projects are social enterprises that provide training for people with learning disabilities and volunteering opportunities for others.
At V21 Pottery: Fairwater, the trainees work with clay and different tools to explore interesting themes, carry out research, create designs and put together a portfolio of their work.
We met with the wonderful team there to pick out some pieces to sell in our shop, we are excited for everyone to see them. We were shown the process from the beginning, where the trainees roll out their clay to the end, where the finished products are on display.
We absolutely love being involved with Vision 21 and we cannot wait for our next visit to see what else they have been up to. Why not come over to show your support and get your hands on one of our lovely Insole Court Magnets?
