In Spring 2025, Insole Court Trust will complete a renovation project made possible by the National Heritage Memorial Fund, Cadw, Cardiff Council and generous donations to our Match Funding scheme.
To celebrate, the National Lottery Open Week, we are offering behind the scenes guided tours of the newly opened/renovated areas. Your tour guide will offer an insight into what it takes to renovate a historic house and just how Insole Court approached the works. The tours will include:
- The newly renovated Pantry with historic cast iron ranges
- Our brand new functions kitchen
- The Servants Hall in the East Wing and it’s rarely seen ornamental Fireplace
- A new space created in the historic Billiard Room toilet
- The Library with repaired stained glass and fresh colour scheme
- Views from the tower onto the roof and the many repairs undertaken there
